UEP 5 The Reckoning MMA Cage Fight is a Hit at The Wharf!

Ultimate Event Promotions brought out the big stars and heavy hitters for their first event held at the Conference Center at The Wharf in Orange Beach AL. The crowd in attendance was treated to a full fight card of some of the best mixed martial arts action ever seen on the Gulf Coast.

Teams from Port City MMA (Mobile AL), Remix MMA (D’iberville MS), Gladiator Academy (Slidell LA), Pensacola Boxing Academy (Pensacola FL), Dixson Dungeon (Biloxi MS), Gulf Beach Fitness (Pensacola FL), and Shogun MMA (Mobile AL) all were represented with fighters on this card.

David Trawick, a fight fan in attendance from Grand Bay AL, said “I’ll never miss one of the UEP fights. These guys really know how to put on a cage fight. It’s like watching the UFC...only in person. People need to see how great these UEP shows are, once you go to one, you won’t miss another.”

All fourteen fights were excellently matched and the production quality was incredible as has become the trademark for all Ultimate Event Promotions shows. Standout performances were given by local favorites Jimmy “Cornbread” Mills from Fairhope AL and Todd Leitermann of Elberta AL, both winners in the first round. Jason “The Kid” Knight also won his pro debut.

Other exciting action was delivered by James Rutherford and Tyler Land (Port City MMA), Gavin Donaldson and Ryan Caprari (Remix MMA), Reggie Demps (Dixsons Dungeon), Martin Downs (Pensacola Boxing Academy) Eric Papineau and Richard Ghigliotty (Gulf Beach Fitness) and Cody Phillips (Capitao MMA).

“We are grateful to the folks at The Wharf for letting us promote a show here” said Nelson Berry, owner of Ultimate Event Promotions. “The venue was perfect for us and the fans here are wonderful. We look forward to coming back for an even bigger show in November. We are planning to have all of our current belt holders defend their titles on this upcoming card, as well as awarding a new 145 pound amateur belt. This one will be a really big show that no fight fan will want to miss.”
