NEW YEARS KNOCK OUT SELLS OUT THE DAPHNE CIVIC CENTER

Ultimate Event Promotions (UEP) presented the NEW YEARS KNOCK OUT Cage Fight on January 17th 2009, at the Daphne Civic Center. The sold out crowd of over 1000 fans cheered for their favorite fighters as they battled in the steel cage. Amateur fighters fought for three rounds of three minutes each with professional bouts being three rounds at five minutes each. Fight results were reported to all the major MMA ranking organizations.

UEP boasted a full fight card of bouts with fighters from some of the top fight organizations and schools in the South. Teams from Port City MMA (Mobile AL), Remix MMA (D’Iberville MS), Pensacola Boxing Academy (Pensacola FL), Dixson’s Dungeon (Biloxi MS), Team ICE (Ocala FL), Tomaso Martial Arts (Fairhope AL), Next Level Fight Team (Long Beach MS) and many others provided fighters for this event.

Standout performances at New Years Knock Out were Blake Singley from Port City MMA, winner of Submission of the Night, Frank York (Team ICE) winner of Knock Out of the Night, and Jason Knight (Remix MMA) winner for Fight of the Night.

In addition, Randy James and Cody Griggers from Port City MMA, Ryan Caprari and Richard Dubisson from Remix MMA, James Ivory (Dixson’s Dungeon) and Tyler Land from Tomaso Martial Arts all won their respective bouts in impressive fashion.  Check out the event results tab on our website for complete New Years Knock Out results.

The main event featured a classic match up of two of the best up-and-coming 205 pound professional fighters in the area. Both fighters are known for their aggressive styles and devastating punching abilities. James Hammortree from Team ICE was declared the winner at 4:30 of the first round by referee stoppage due to strikes.

Tickets for this upcoming event will be available soon and seating will be general admission. Tickets will be $30 in advance and will be available at several sponsor locations and on our website (shipping and handling charges will apply on all internet ticket sales).  Tickets will be $40 at the door.

A very limited number of VIP cage-side seats will be made available to the public. These VIP cage-side tickets will be on a first come first serve basis and will be $75 each. There are a very limited number of these seats available, so get these seats early!!
