Ultimate Event Promotions packs the house for “Battle By The Bay”!

On Saturday, March 21st thirty of the best cage fighters along the Gulf Coast participated in the Ultimate Event Promotions “Battle By The Bay” Cage Fight. Over 1000 MMA fans in attendance were treated to a full card of 15 excellent fights. Fighters from Port City MMA (Mobile AL), Remix MMA (D’Iberville MS and Ocean Springs MS), Dixson’s Dungeon (Biloxi MS), Team ICE (Ocala FL), Team Kryto-Knight (Meridian MS), Next Level Fight Team (Long Beach MS), Tomaso’s Martial Arts (Fairhope AL), Pensacola Boxing Academy (Pensacola FL), and Boundless Way MMA (Montgomery AL) battled it out inside the steel cage.

Standout performances at “Battle By The Bay” were delivered by Daniel McKeever from Port City MMA, winner of Fight of the Night, David Hawkins, winner of Knock Out of the Night, and Joao Zeferino from Remix MMA winner of Submission of the Night.

In addition, fighters Blake Singley, Bob Slaughter and Cody Griggers from Port City MMA, Ryan Caprari and Jason Knight from Remix MMA, and Frank York from Team ICE all won their respective bouts in impressive fashion. Jarrad Markel from Dixson’s Dungeon was a close second for Fight of the Night honors with his crowd pleasing three round decision victory.  Check out the event results tab on our website for complete “Battle By The Bay” results.

The co-main events featured match-ups between two of the best 170 pound and 205 pound professional fighters in the area. At 170 pounds, Todd Leitermann from Pensacola Boxing Academy won at 0.49 of the second round by tap out over James Sharp. At 205 pounds, James Hammortree from Team ICE was the winner at 3:15 of the first round by KO over Tony Roberts.

If you are interested in seeing more of the best mixed martial arts fighters in the South, then you need to be at the Daphne Civic Center on July 18th 2009 for our next cage fight event when Ultimate Event Promotions returns to Daphne, Alabama.

Tickets for this upcoming event will be available soon and seating will be general admission. Tickets will be $30 in advance and will be available at several sponsor locations and on our website (shipping and handling charges will apply to all internet ticket sales). Tickets will be $40 the day of the event and at the door.

A very limited number of VIP cage-side seats will be made available to the public. These VIP cage-side tickets will be on a first come first serve basis and will be $75 each.

Once again, UEP is bringing the fastest growing sport on the planet – MMA Cage Fighting – to the Alabama Gulf Coast on July 18th, 2009 at the Daphne Civic Center.
